Privacy Policy

1. Overview
LivingLogos (“we,” “us,” or “the Service”) provides live sermon transcription and translation for churches and ministry organizations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Name, email address, and authentication credentials you provide when creating a broadcaster account.
- Audio and transcripts. When a broadcaster starts a session, audio captured from their device is streamed to our speech-recognition provider and converted to text. The resulting transcripts and translations are stored so they can be reviewed later by the account owner.
- Listener data. Listeners join sessions anonymously using a short room code. We do not require listener accounts. We log the language a listener selects and basic connection metadata (region, browser type) to operate the Service.
- Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) used for security, abuse prevention, and performance monitoring.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To deliver real-time transcription and translation back to listeners.
- To let account owners review past sessions from their dashboard.
- To diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure.
- To communicate with broadcasters about the Service (e.g., account, billing, outages).
4. Third-party processors
We use a small number of trusted vendors to deliver the Service. These vendors process data only on our instructions and under written agreements. Current processors include:
- Speech-to-text providers (e.g., Deepgram) for live transcription.
- Machine-translation providers for converting transcripts into target languages.
- Cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Railway, Fly.io) for hosting.
- Authentication and database providers used to store account and session data.
5. Data retention
Transcripts and translations are retained for as long as the broadcaster’s account is active, unless the broadcaster deletes them sooner. Account data is retained while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. Server logs are typically retained for up to 90 days.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you. Broadcasters can delete saved transcripts at any time from the dashboard, or request account deletion by contacting us. To exercise other rights, email us at the address below.
7. Children
The Service is intended for use by churches and adult broadcasters. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
The Service is operated from servers in North America and Europe. If you access the Service from another region, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in those jurisdictions.
10. Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of browser storage technologies to operate the Service. We store your selected interface language in localStorage so it persists between visits, and we use session cookies set by our hosting and authentication providers to keep you signed in and to route your connection to the correct server. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear browser storage at any time from your browser settings; doing so will sign you out and reset preferences such as language.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by direct notice to account owners.
